Ochetoha K’Idoma backs Och’Idoma over delisting of former finance commissioner, Olofu

The Ochetoha K’Idoma Youth Wing (World Wide) is a “Socio-Cultural” organization and umbrella body of all Idoma Youth organizations.

We wish to congratulate Agabaidu HRM Dr Elaigwu Odogbo Obagaji John CON Ochidoma V on a successful 2nd anniversary celebration that was held on 29 June, 2024.

We wish to congratulate H E the state governor and deputy, the Rt Hon Deputy Speaker and all well meaning Idoma Sons and Nigerians who were recipients of the Chieftaincy bestowed on them during the 2nd anniversary of our paramount ruler Ochidoma V.

The media outburst on the delisting of one of Idoma’s illustrious sons Hon David Olofu the immediate past Commissioner of finance has been noted.

It’s however imperative to note the following;

1. that issues of chieftaincy affairs are exclusive responsibilities of the Idoma Traditional Council.
2. that the Ochidoma who is the paramount ruler of the Idoma Nation presides over the council.
3. that the office of the Ochidoma is highly revered and as such always acts in the wisdom of both man and God.
4. that the Ochetoha K’Idoma Youth Wing believes that any reservation or misgivings at best should be conveyed to the Idoma Traditional Council through the Ochidoma V in writing other than the open show put forth by groups.
5. that the respect we bestow on the seat of the Ochidoma will determine how outsiders Revere the ancient great seat.
6. that as sons and daughters of the land it’s anti-cultural and unethical to continue to peddle perceptions that will put the throne of our fathers in a negative light or attract any form of disrespect to the throne.
In view of the aforementioned the Ochetoha K’Idoma Youth Wing World Wide have resolved to consult with all parties so as to come out with an informed position.

Furthermore, we wish to appeal to all youth groups, student groups etc to stay calm and down play any form of outburst as any statement made puts the throne in a negative light; an act that true sons and daughters should not indulge in for any reason.

As a Socio-Cultural organisation, we are committed to playing a role aimed at Unification rather than sponsoring division.

We appeal to all parties to look at the outcome of the coronation as the will of God as there is nothing that happens on earth without the endorsement of divinity.

While assuring the entirety of the Idoma Nation of our commitment towards unity, peace and stability; Happy new month to us all.
