Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has charged Christians to work out their faith for the desired results as faith without works is dead.

Governor Ortom gave the charge today at the 17th Annual Whelps Assemblage and Commissioning of the newly completed Auditorium of the Glory of His Majesty Ministries, Makurdi.

The Governor who urged Christians to identify their talents and work towards fulfilling their destinies said they should not hide their talents like the ungrateful servant did in the Bible, stressing that they should not force themselves into callings that are not from God.

He said he was impressed that the edifice was completed and commissioned during his tenure as Governor, even as he also acknowledged the role of divine helpers to the project.

Governor Ortom described the founder of the Church, Evangelist Michael Ewache as a true servant of God whose prophecies always come to pass, saying he had demonstrated such virtues over time.

He directed the State Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperatives to liaise with his Works and Transport counterpart to ensure that the road leading to the church was captured in the 2021 budget currently being prepared.

Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Titus Uba and Head of Service, Mrs. Veronica Onyeke in separate remarks said thanksgiving provokes God for more blessings, even as they described the Governor as humble and God fearing.

Evangelist Michael Ewache who preached on the theme: “let the fire fall,” urged the congregation to surrender their lives for God’s intervention, adding that when the fire finally comes down, all battles would be won.
