Police discover sophisticated cannabis farm in Lagos, arrest two
The Lagos State Police Command has uncovered a suspected indoor cannabis farm in the Apapa area of the state, arresting two men, including a 49-year-old Polish national.
The suspects were identified as Thomas Razvickas, 49, and James Chisome, 36, a Nigerian.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, saying the facility was discovered on November 2, 2026, at a residential property following credible intelligence received by police operatives.
According to the statement, the facility was equipped with sophisticated equipment for the cultivation, harvesting and processing of substances suspected to be cannabis.
Adebisi said the suspects, who reside at the property, were arrested and taken into police custody.
She added that they had made confessional statements and were providing useful information to assist ongoing investigations.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Tijani Fatai, visited the scene to inspect the facility and receive a briefing on the investigation.

Fatai commended the operatives for their vigilance and intelligence-led operation, reaffirming the command’s commitment to tackling drug-related offences and dismantling criminal networks.
He also urged residents to continue providing credible information to the police to help combat crime across the state.
