Reflections on peoples’ personal testimonies about Terver Akase

Published

Today marks exactly one week since the announcement of my appointment as the Director of Media of the Terver Akase Campaign Organisation for the office of Benue State Governor come 2023.

Terver Akase who is already moving round the State holding consultations with stakeholders, soliciting their blessings and support, is seeking the Peoples Democratic Party governorship ticket, to fulfill his aspiration of serving the State as her number one citizen, if God so wills.

What fascinates me about Mr Akase’s political ambition is the manner in which his aspiration resounds with the people, across all social strata, partisan and non partisan divides. The women, youth, and the elderly are all attesting to his credibility, good comportment, humble disposition, trust worthiness and charismatic personality, which has endeared him to many people who are already keying into his leadership vision.

Since the announcement of my appointment last Saturday, October 16, 2021, the positive testimonies, I have been receiving concerning Mr Akase’s outstanding and examplary leadership traits are really incredible, I must say.

Certainly, it goes without saying that in this life, whatever you do with uncommon dedication and passion, the society is keenly watching and would someday pass a verdict, as clearly manifested in Terver Akase’s case scenario.

Rather than myself trying to woo people into the soaring fold of Mr Akase, the people are yet all out standing ready and willing to rally support for the realization of the Akase gubernatorial project, which is not doubt the Benue Peoples Project. A project that is enjoying far reaching goodwill and support of the people at the grassroots.

Many of my friends here on social media and beyond have reached out to me with rousing testimonies that my job is made easier, since I will be working with and for a complete gentleman, whose hallmarks of excellence and professionalism are glaring and rare to come across.

The overwhelming testimonies tilt in the direction that Mr Akase exudes desirable and highly sought-after leadership attributes of productivity, focus, cosmopolitan mindset, strength of character, and pedigree which stands him out among his contemporaries.

Many have confessed that Mr Akase earned their profound admiration for his decent and issue-based engagements, in responding to vicious criticisms for the administration of Governor Samuel Ortom, while he served as Chief Press Secretary for an unbroken record six years.

It is acknowledged by many that Mr Akase displayed the highest ethical conduct and sense of professionalism in running such a sensitive office in government, thereby raising the bar on what it entails to be a government spokesperson in our political milieu.

I have heard resounding comments of how amiable, decent, diligent, gentle, generous, compassionate, accessible, humble and humane Mr Akase is and his smooth interactions with people of all classes, not minding their background or social status in the society.

People have testified that the gentleman simply did not allow the aura of power to get into his head. No doubt, this stands Akase out as a shinning example of inspiring leadership.

A number of young people who reached out to me, told me that Mr Akase influenced and lobbied his principal who appointed them into strategic leadership positions in the Ortom-led administration. This is a clear manifestation of the fact that Akase recognizes the youth as crucial asset for inclusion and participation in governance.

Taking the foregoing into consideration, it is convincing that if offered an opportunity to govern the State, Akase would draw heavily from the resourceful potentials of more young people, as well as saddle competent and credible ones with leadership roles to participate in upholding the frontiers of socio-economic advancement, as every Benue citizen needs to bring a little stone to assist in the construction of a future pyramid of growth and development, to paraphrase the French astronomer and author, Camille Flammarion.

In all of this, it goes without even emphasising that people like Mr Akase, surely deserves to be given higher leadership assignments, such as occupying the office of Governor so as to build on the successes of the past and present administrations in the State towards securing a prosperous future for the generation coming after us.

As a youth friendly gentleman himself, who has always been in the forefront of promoting and championing every noble cause for the greater good of young people in the State, all well meaning young people of Benue origin residing within and outside the State, must stand united in pushing for the achievement of the Akase governorship project for yes, in standing together, we can make it for our collective good, now and in the future.

With such stimulating testimonies about my principal, my hope and confidence is rekindled, just as I am deeply inspired to work assiduously in synergy with the campaign team under the competent leadership of our Director General, Engineer Utaan Terhide Conrad who is enamoured with zeal and single minded commitment to sensitize good people of Benue on the desirable need to elect Terver Akase to serve our dear State come 2023.

Yes, together we can!
