Strange disease hits Owukpa community, two confirmed dead, many hospitalized

A strange illness has entered Ankpa Owukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Benue State, leaving two persons already dead and many hospitalized.

Ankpa owukpa is a remote community in Itabono Ward 1 that shares boundary with Oderigbo, Eha-Amufu in Enugu State, Udegwu and Ikem in Isi Uzor Local Government of Enugu State.

A resident of the area, Comrade Ochogwu Patrick Akor, told our reporter that the deceased, including one male and a female were vomiting profusely before giving up the ghost.

This development is coming at the time over 19 persons were confirmed dead in Ipeilo village in Otukpa, Ogbadibo LGA of the state following the outbreak of a mysterious dead.
