Former Kogi Federal Lawmaker, Hussein dumps PDP for APC
Ismail Inah Hussein, a former federal lawmaker who represented Idah Federal Constituency in Kogi State, has switched his allegiance from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The announcement of Hussein’s defection was made during a campaign rally organized by the APC in Ajaka, Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area. He, along with hundreds of his supporters, officially joined the APC, citing his aspiration to contribute to the development of Kogi State and the nation as a driving factor.
Hussein commended the APC government in Kogi State for promoting unity, security, and overall development within the state. He pledged his support to the APC governorship candidate, Usman Ododo, aiming to mobilize significant support for the party and ensure an overwhelming victory in the upcoming November 11 governorship election.
Welcoming the new members, Abdullahi Bello, the APC Chairman in Kogi State, expressed confidence in the party’s prospects for a resounding victory in the forthcoming election.
The event was graced by notable figures, including Hadi Ametuo, former State Chairman of APC; Joel Oyibo, Deputy Governorship Candidate; Muhammed Alfa, Zonal Chairman of APC; David Zacharias, member representing Idah Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives; and Sadiq Abubakar Ainoko, former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, among others.
