A collision involving three vehicles in Ogun State’s Kara area along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Sunday night left 18 individuals with varying degrees of injuries. The exact count of those involved in the incident remains unconfirmed, as reported by the Federal Road Safety (FRSC).

According to Florence Okpe, the FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, the accident transpired due to a brake failure. The vehicles implicated in the multiple-vehicle collision included an unregistered Mack truck, a Honda SUV registered as KRD128GS, and an unregistered Mazda bus.

In response to the incident, the injured individuals were promptly transported to the Accident and Emergency Center at the Old Toll Gate by the FRSC rescue team. Additionally, a crane was deployed to clear the trailer and its container from the accident site.
