BREAKING: Ombudagu loses at Supreme Court upholds AA Sule’s election
The Supreme Court upheld the election victory of Governor Abdullahi Sule as the legitimate governor of Nasarawa state. The apex court firmly dismissed the appeals brought forth by David Ombugadu, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the gubernatorial polls held in March 2023.
The verdict, delivered by a five-member panel led by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, marked the final legal determination of the election dispute. Governor Abdullahi Sule’s victory has been officially affirmed, settling the legal challenges posed by the opposition candidate, David Ombugadu, and the PDP.
The judgment by the Supreme Court reinforces Governor Sule’s mandate and affirms the electoral process that led to his emergence as the duly elected governor of Nasarawa state.
