Former Flying Eagles striker Suleiman Abdullahi has parted ways with Swedish club IFK Göteborg after terminating his contract.
The club officially announced the contract termination on Monday, bringing an end to Abdullahi’s stint with Blåvitt, which began in 2022 following his move from Bundesliga side Union Berlin.
The 28-year-old forward struggled with injuries and managed just one goal in 30 appearances for the club.
“Sulle has faced challenges due to persistent injuries. Neither he nor we feel we got the best out of each other, but we part on good terms. He’s a great person, and we wish him success at his next club,” said IFK Göteborg’s sporting director, Hannes Stiller.
Before joining IFK Göteborg, Abdullahi played for Norwegian side Viking FK and German club Eintracht Braunschweig.
