BREAKING: Senator Natasha submits sexual harassment petition against Akpabio

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has formally submitted a petition alleging sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The petition was presented on the floor of the upper legislative chamber on Tuesday as the Senate resumed plenary.

Previously, the Senate had stated that it was not investigating the allegations due to the absence of a formal petition. With this submission, the matter is now officially before the red chamber.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan was seen arriving at the National Assembly complex on Tuesday morning, accompanied by her husband.

Meanwhile, protests have erupted in Abuja, with demonstrators calling for Akpabio’s resignation over the allegations.
