The Orokam United Forum (OUF) has empowered 200 indigent students through its National Symposium 2025, themed “Educate an Orokam Child Today and Save a Future Generation.”

In a message of appreciation signed by Agada Emmanuel Sebastian-Mary, the National Publicity Secretary, the National Executive Committee led by Comrade Anthony Abah Ekere expressed profound gratitude to the Board of Trustees chaired by Chief Daniel Ojile, branch chairmen, members, and various committees whose efforts made the event a resounding success.

Through collective commitment and financial support, the Forum successfully paid the school fees of 100 students who qualified from scholarship examinations supervised by Rev. Father Santa Oche, Chairman of the Screening Committee. In addition, another 100 pupils received writing materials, extending the organization’s reach to the grassroots.

The symposium brought together students, teachers, parents, and professionals, fostering mentorship opportunities and deepening the values of the OUF Education Initiative.

Special recognition was given to Chief Joseph Ikwuje (Ochagwuba), the Royal Father of the day; keynote speaker Dr. James A. Abah of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; and guest speakers Dr. Victor Ojobo, Mrs. Helen Robert, and Mr. Godwin Onyeke, who graced the occasion in Orokam. Also appreciated were Mr. Godwin Omeje, a nuclear physicist, and Mr. Alex Idoko, founder of A.G.E. Foundation, who joined virtually from the UK and US respectively.

The Forum further extended gratitude to Barr. Adole Godwin Eche, President of BAGE Foundation, and Mr. Anthony Ojobo Agbo, alongside councillors, principals, teachers, and parents for their active participation.

Among the Forum’s partners recognized for their contributions were:

A.G.E. Foundation – for granting full merit scholarships to the top four students.

Williams Obande Foundation – for donating 100 school bags.

Michael Onoja Godwin (MOG) – for personally donating writing materials.

Uneh and Jauba Care Foundation – for contributing ₦1 million towards the next phase of the school fees project.

The OUF described the initiative as a major step toward building an educated and self-reliant Orokam community, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing the next generation through education and collaboration.
