NNPCL reduces petrol price by N10

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of petrol following the resolution of recent supply glitches at the Dangote Refinery.

Checks by DAILY POST revealed that the state-owned oil firm adjusted its retail price to ₦945 per litre, down from ₦955, reflecting a ₦10 reduction.

The new price has already taken effect at NNPCL retail outlets in Gwarimpa and Wuse Zone 4, Abuja. Similarly, Eterna Filling Station in Abuja has also adjusted its pump price to ₦945 per litre.

The price reduction comes as fuel supply improves across the country, driven by increased output from the Dangote Refinery and steady imports by petroleum marketers.

Just over two weeks ago, supply disruptions at the refinery had triggered a nationwide spike in pump prices.

Meanwhile, industry watchers remain cautious as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently approved the implementation of a 15 per cent import tax on petrol and diesel—a policy expected to exert upward pressure on fuel prices in the coming weeks.
