Workers flee as stray dog invades Ebonyi Government House

There was mild panic at the Old Government House in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, on Monday after a stray dog wandered into the premises, causing a temporary disruption of activities.

Eyewitnesses said the dog entered the Government House complex along Ogoja Road during working hours, triggering fear among workers and visitors.

Some staff members reportedly fled for safety, while others made efforts to contain the animal and prevent further disturbance.

Sources within the Government House said the owner of the dog had yet to be identified. The animal was said to have appeared disoriented as it moved around the premises.

As of the time of filing this report, efforts were ongoing to safely remove the dog from the complex and restore normal activities.
