The Super Eagles have unveiled their starting line-up for Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations 2025 quarter-final encounter with Algeria at the Stade de Marrakech.

Leading Nigeria’s attack is Victor Osimhen, who will be supported up front by Ademola Lookman and Akor Adams, as the team looks to maintain its impressive scoring form in the tournament.

In midfield, Alex Iwobi and Bruno are tasked with driving creativity, while Wilfred Ndidi wears the captain’s armband and provides stability from a central holding role, ensuring balance between defence and attack.

Stanley Nwabali starts between the posts, with Bright Osayi-Samuel and Semi Ajayi lining up in defence alongside Ndidi, who drops deeper to strengthen the backline when required.

Calvin Bassey and Frank Onyeka are positioned on the flanks to stretch play and add width, while the substitutes’ bench boasts several seasoned options, including Francis Uzoho, Samuel Chukwueze and Chidozie Awaziem, giving the coaching crew tactical flexibility.

The selected XI underlines Nigeria’s ambition to break down Algeria’s disciplined defence using their potent attacking strength, with a semi-final ticket at stake in what promises to be a tense contest.
