APC senatorial aspirant, Agidani pays courtesy visit to Benue south royal fathers
A leading All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial aspirant in Benue South, Engr. Oloche Gabriel Agidani, has paid a courtesy visit to first-class traditional rulers in the Benue South Senatorial District as part of consultations ahead of the 2027 elections.
The visit took place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, and covered the four foremost traditional institutions in the district.
The royal fathers visited were the Och’Apa of Agatu, HRH Agangwu Baba Odangla; the Adirahu Ny’Igede, HRH Oga Ero; the Och’Enone, HRH George Aboh Edeh; and the Och’Otukpo/Ohimini, HRH Emmanuel Oche Okochi.
During the engagements, the traditional rulers commended Engr. Agidani for what they described as his leadership qualities, grassroots outreach, and commitment to the ideals of the APC. They offered prayers and royal blessings as he prepares to seek elective office.
Engr. Agidani used the occasion to formally declare his intention to contest the Benue South senatorial seat on the platform of the APC. He said his aspiration is driven by a desire to deepen development and improve living conditions across the district.
He highlighted some interventions already facilitated in line with the APC’s development agenda, including the ongoing renovation of the Primary Health Care Centre in Obagaji, as well as proposed renovation and rehabilitation works at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Otukpo and Agatu, aimed at strengthening security and public safety.
The APC aspirant reaffirmed his commitment to attracting more developmental projects to Benue South, assuring that all nine local government areas in the zone would benefit if given the mandate.
He also appealed for the zoning of the Benue South Senate seat to the Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, stressing the need for fairness, equity, and balanced representation within the district.
The visit ended with prayers, royal blessings, and goodwill messages from the traditional rulers.
