There was commotion on Saturday at Polling Unit 001, located at Kabusa Primary School, after security operatives arrested a woman allegedly found in possession of more than 20 voter cards during the ongoing council election.

Eyewitnesses said the incident caused tension among voters and electoral officials, as residents gathered around the polling area while officers of the Nigeria Police Force intervened to restore order.

Sources at the scene disclosed that the suspect was apprehended following suspicions raised by voters and polling agents, who alerted security personnel after noticing unusual movements around the accreditation area.

The police subsequently took the woman into custody for questioning, while electoral activities resumed under tight security.

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the polling unit declined immediate comments, but assured voters that the situation had been brought under control.
