The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State has suspended its State Publicity Secretary, Tim Nyor, over alleged gross violation of party principles, acts of insubordination, and anti-party activities.

The suspension was announced in a statement issued by the State Secretary of the party, Dan Nyikwagh, who disclosed that the decision was reached on Friday, February 20, 2026, during a meeting of the State Working Committee held at the party’s secretariat in Makurdi.

According to the statement, the action was taken in strict compliance with the provisions of Articles 58(1)(h) and 57(3) of the PDP Constitution (2017, as amended).

Nyikwagh explained that the suspension takes immediate effect and will last for one month, pending the outcome of ongoing investigations and any further decisions the party may take in line with its constitutional procedures.

He added that during the period of suspension, Nyor is barred from participating in all party activities at every level.

The State Working Committee also reaffirmed its commitment to discipline, internal democracy, and strict adherence to the party’s constitution.
