The Obilekpa Oyalewa Campaign Organisation 2027 has congratulated former Chairman of Okpokwu Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Juliana Obetta, on her emergence as the Labour Party’s deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 Benue governorship election.

The group, through the Labour Party’s Benue South Senatorial candidate, Dr Onuh Samuel Odoh, described Obetta’s nomination as a well-deserved recognition of her leadership qualities and contributions to public service.

In a congratulatory message issued on Tuesday, Odoh said Obetta’s record in public office, particularly as Executive Chairman of Okpokwu Local Government Area, demonstrated her capacity, courage and commitment to the welfare of the people.

According to him, her emergence as the running mate to the Labour Party governorship candidate, Dr Mathias Byuan, marks the beginning of a new chapter of service and people-oriented leadership in Benue State.

“This is more than a nomination. This is destiny calling,” Odoh stated.

He noted that Obetta’s track record of service and dedication to grassroots development made her a worthy choice for the position.

The Labour Party chieftain expressed confidence that Obetta would bring her wealth of experience to bear in the administration if elected alongside the party’s governorship candidate in 2027.

Odoh further assured the deputy governorship candidate of the support of the people of Benue South Senatorial District, popularly known as Zone C, as well as members of the Labour Party across the state.

“We are not just celebrating a running mate today; we are celebrating our next Deputy Governor come May 29, 2027,” he said.

He urged party supporters to remain united and committed to the Labour Party’s vision of providing purposeful leadership and good governance for the people of Benue State.

Obetta emerged as the Labour Party’s deputy governorship candidate and running mate to Dr Mathias Byuan ahead of the 2027 governorship election in the state.
