Iran: Protest breaks out in Nigeria over killing of Ali Khamenei (Video)

Supporters of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), widely known as Shiites, staged a demonstration in Niger State on Sunday following reports of the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The IMN in Nigeria is led by Shi’a cleric Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

IDOMA VOICE had earlier reported that Khamenei was allegedly killed during coordinated air raids on Iran carried out by the United States and Israeli forces.

Shortly after the news of his reported death spread across social media platforms, scores of IMN members gathered and moved onto the streets in protest.

In a video sighted online on Sunday, demonstrators were seen chanting ‘freedom to Iran, death to America ‘.

The protesters marched through several areas of the state, waving Iranian flags and holding placards with messages such as “We Stand With Iran,” while chanting solidarity slogans.
