Former Rep Hassan Saleh disowns inclusion in PDP convention committee list

Former member of the People’s Democratic Party, Rt. Hon. Hassan Anthony Saleh, has issued a strong disclaimer distancing himself from a purported PDP convention committee list circulating in Benue State.

In a statement released on Thursday, Saleh described the inclusion of his name in the alleged list as the handiwork of “unscrupulous elements” seeking to mislead the public and tarnish his reputation.

He clarified that he formally resigned from the PDP on July 2, 2025, stressing that it is “disingenuous” for any individual or group to associate him with activities or committees linked to the party.

Saleh further revealed that he possesses an acknowledged copy of his resignation letter as proof of his disengagement from the PDP, urging the public to disregard the publication in its entirety.

Calling for vigilance, he appealed to “all and sundry” to ignore the misleading information, reiterating his non-affiliation with the party since his resignation.
