Idoma Voice has exclusively obtained the final result sheet of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election conducted in Ado Local Government Area for the Ado State Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 elections.

Idoma Voice reports that the primary election was conducted across the political wards in the local government area amid heightened tension and controversy.

The exclusive result obtained by our correspondent confirmed earlier reports that the Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon. Lami Danladi Ogenyi, was edged out of the contest.

According to the result sheet signed by the State Constituency Collation Officer, Okpeju Charles, Hon. Mark Attah Ochoga emerged winner of the primary election with a total of 5,130 votes.

The result showed that Hon. Lami Ogenyi polled 297 votes.

Other aspirants on the result sheet include Dickson Otokpa, who scored 2,853 votes, and Otsepa Idu, who polled 253 votes.

The development appears to validate claims earlier made by supporters of Mark Ochoga, who had insisted that the deputy speaker lost the exercise.

Drama, however, unfolded shortly after the primaries as parallel results also emerged from another camp loyal to Hon. Lami Ogenyi.

The deputy speaker’s supporters had earlier announced that she scored 7,132 votes to defeat Mark Ochoga, who they claimed polled 264 votes.

The emergence of conflicting results has further deepened confusion within the APC in Ado Local Government Area and exposed widening cracks within the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

As of the time of filing this report, the Benue State chapter of the APC is yet to issue an official clarification on the parallel results and the authentic winner of the exercise.
