Kaduna govt condemns Kauru killings, orders security crackdown

The Kaduna State Government has condemned the killing of several residents in Naridon Village, Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area, following an attack on the border community between Kaduna and Plateau states.

The state government also directed security agencies to intensify operations to apprehend those responsible for the attack and prevent further violence in the area.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Commissioner for Information, Ahmed Maiyaki, said Governor Uba Sani described the attack as unacceptable and expressed concern over the loss of lives and destruction of property.

“The Kaduna State Government condemns the killing of several persons in Naridon Village, Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area. This tragic attack, which also resulted in the destruction of property, is unacceptable,” the governor said.

Governor Sani also directed the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA) to provide immediate relief materials and humanitarian assistance to families affected by the attack.

According to the statement, the state government has instructed security agencies to intensify efforts to track down and arrest those behind the killings while strengthening security measures to prevent a recurrence of such incidents.
