APGA unveils Austin Oleho as Benue South Senatorial candidate for 2027

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has officially unveiled Engr. Austin Oleho as its consensus candidate for the Benue South Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The unveiling, which took place in Otukpo, the political headquarters of Benue South, attracted party leaders, stakeholders, supporters and members from across the district’s nine local government areas.

Party officials described Oleho’s emergence as the outcome of extensive consultations and consensus-building efforts aimed at positioning APGA as a formidable force in the forthcoming elections.

Speaking shortly after his affirmation, Oleho expressed gratitude to the party leadership and members for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to provide purposeful representation and champion policies that would promote development across Benue South.

According to him, his decision to contest under the APGA platform reflects his commitment to offering the people a credible and people-oriented alternative capable of addressing the district’s developmental challenges.

“We are committed to a new era of representation and determined to take this message of hope to every community across the district, ensuring that the welfare of our people remains our primary focus,” he said.

Oleho further urged party supporters to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 elections, expressing confidence that APGA possesses the structure and vision required to secure victory at the polls.

In his remarks, the Benue State Chairman of APGA, Comrade Ogli Joseph, described Oleho’s emergence as the product of a painstaking process that overcame several challenges. He called on party faithful to remain united and committed to the party’s ideals.

The event also witnessed the emergence of other APGA candidates for various elective positions. They include Dr. Jeffrey Isima for the Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, Hon. David Onyilokwu Okoh for the Otukpo/Akpa State Constituency, Hon. Eche Friday for the Adoka/Ugboju State Constituency, and Mrs. Dorcas Otalu for the Apa State Constituency.
