Benue South Senate Race 2027: I can do better than Abba Moro – LP’s Prince Onuh
A Labour Party (LP) senatorial aspirant for Benue South, Prince Samuel Onuh, has declared that he can provide better representation for the people of Zone C than the incumbent senator, Abba Moro.
Speaking during an interview on Idoma Television’s programme, The Conversation, Onuh criticised the performance of the senator, arguing that the district had not witnessed significant benefits from his representation over the past seven years.
According to him, Benue South deserves a new direction and a representative capable of delivering tangible dividends of democracy to the people.
Onuh, a former Chairman of Ogbadibo Local Government Area, said his decision to contest the Benue South Senate seat in 2027 was driven by his desire to bring development and improved welfare to the district.
He maintained that his record in public service and grassroots leadership demonstrates his capacity to deliver meaningful projects and empowerment programmes.
The Labour Party chieftain also promised to create employment opportunities for youths across the nine local government areas of Benue South if elected.
“I am going to facilitate not less than 1,000 jobs for youths and qualified persons from Benue South within my first term. Employment and empowerment will be among my top priorities,” he said.
Onuh further identified insecurity as one of the greatest challenges confronting the district and pledged to work closely with security agencies and relevant stakeholders to address the problem.
He expressed confidence in the growing popularity of the Labour Party in Benue South, insisting that the party would perform strongly in the 2027 general elections.
The senatorial hopeful urged the people of the district to support his ambition, assuring them that he would provide effective representation, promote human capital development and pursue programmes that would directly impact their lives.
“I have done it before in public office, and I believe I can do even more for Benue South if given the opportunity to serve in the Senate,” he stated.
