Adamawa Agric Commissioner, David Jatau is dead
Adamawa State Commissioner for Agriculture, Professor David Jatau, has died.
The announcement was made on Saturday by Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
According to the statement, Professor Jatau passed away in Abuja after a brief illness.
Until his death, Jatau was credited with spearheading several initiatives aimed at strengthening food security, increasing agricultural productivity, and empowering farmers across Adamawa State.
Governor Fintiri described the late commissioner as a loyal, dedicated, and distinguished public servant who combined academic excellence with a strong commitment to public service.
“Professor Jatau was a man of intellect, integrity, and service. He brought his wealth of knowledge from the ivory tower into government and deployed it diligently for the growth of our agricultural sector and the well-being of our people,” the governor said.
