Abuja-based Air Force Officer, Enenche takes the bold step

Few days ago, Abuja-based Air Force personnel, Felix Audu Enenche, began his journey into ‘marriagehood’ with a surprise proposal to ‘His Sweetness’, Judith Atama on her 25^th birthday.

What was supposed to be a quiet fete at the serene Rose of Sharon Garden inside the Dunamis Lord’s Garden, turned out to be a remarkable day for the birthday girl and of course Felix.

Judith, who arrived the venue in a gold-coloured Toyota Camry, was greeted with happy birthday song by saxophonists and few guests present beside the still water.

Still shocked, the celebrant struggled to fight back tears while standing in the midst of visibly excited men and women trying to capture the moment with their cell phones.

The music soon faded and Felix, who was garbed in a blue suit with a matching tie; grabbed the microphone as the celebrant watched in suspense while trying to fight back tears already formed in her tear gland.

Like a well-trained Shakespearean student, Felix started on a poetic note thus:

“I want to wish you a very special Happy Blessed 25th Birthday and to let you know that my heart was a desert; a dry and thirsty land until you came and watered it with your love!

“You shouldn’t have expected that I will let this special day pass just like that even when you told me that you ain’t interested in surprises.

“It is time for me to open my heart and pour out my deepest feelings for you. When I first met you, I knew that I have met my missing rib. It was only a matter of time till we arrived at this moment. How it turns out is all God’s doing.

“I had sleepless nights fasting, praying and searching for you, my heart aches when I don’t find you and I was almost running into depression; what an ultimate search!

“So many times I thought I would never find you, I started seeing reasons with the general sayings that “you cannot find everything complete in a person” until I met you; you are everything I want in a woman my love.

“People told me that I am confused that I don’t really know what I’m looking for. I was almost admitting that but thanks to daddy Dr PAUL ENENCHE who avails himself to be a servant of God; he received a song titled I DESIRE SOMETHING; when I see it I will know it!

“The song encourages me so much to keep searching that when I see you I will know! It was when I came to the end of myself that God brought you my way.

“Though I have lots of things to say words are hiding from me and I cannot express. The past has thought me all the lessons I learnt today for a glorious tomorrow in marriage to build a godly and model home.

“I want you to know that as far as the stars keep shinning in the sky, the oceans never run dry, the Holy Angels of God remain in heaven and till the day I go to heaven, I will always love you! When I look into your eyes, I can see a reflection of the two of us and the life I hope we will share together.

“You are the best thing that has happened to me after salvation, being beautiful is an understatement, your smile shines brighter than the stars, you add meaning to my life, you fill my life with so much beauty, you bring sanity to my mind and give me so much confidence.

“May God bless the day I found you; I want to spend the rest of my entire life with you.”

Bold like a lion, the airman went on his knells and popped up what could be described as one of the biggest questions of his life thus: “WILL YOU MARRY ME?”

At this moment, the birthday girl could no longer stand it, emotion betrayed her and she responded amid tears of joy ‘YES’ while the excited guests cheer them with applause.
