BREAKING: Former Kano emir, Sanusi emerges leader of Islamic sect, Tijjaniya

Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi II, former Emir of Kano, has been appointed as the leader of the Tijjaniya sect in Nigeria.
His appointment was announced on Saturday at the ongoing conference of the sect in Sokoto State, Daily Trust reports.
