You will go to hell if you use VPN to access Twitter – Nigerian pastor

A Nigerian pastor has asserted that using Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access Twitter after its ban by the federal government is a sin.

According to the pastor, Glory Ighlo, Christians who violated the government ban on Twitter by using VPN to access the app would be judge by God.

“As a Christian if you use VPN to access ur Twitter acct. after govt. ban on it… Just know u have sinned against God,” he wrote.

He also went further to quote Romans 13:1-2 to back his claim.

“Romans 13:1-2 Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.
So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished,” he quoted.

IDOMA VOICE reported that the federal government during the weekend suspected social media app, Twitter, definitely in Nigeria.
However, Nigerians have been using VPN to access the app despite government ban. Authorities have warned that those violating the ban will be duly punished.
