The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Abba Moro, has felicitated with his constituents and Nigerians on this Democracy Day celebration.

Democracy Day is celebrated in Nigeria every June 12, in honour of the annulled June 12, 1992 presidential election, adjudged to be the freest and fairest election in the country, which produced Chief M.K.O Abiola as the winner.

Senator Moro said that as a Democrat, he will continue to support democracy, being the government of the people, by the people and for the people, and promises to use all opportunities given to him through democratic processes to impact lives positively.

The Comrade-Senator charged all Nigerians to use this year’s edition to pray for the country and reflect on the myriads of challenges confronting the nation with a view to finding lasting solutions to them.

The Senator in a statement by his New media aide, Emmanuel John, re-assured his constituents that he will continue to deliver on his campaign promises, by speaking loudly for them in the Senate and providing the necessary dividends of democracy, which he has been fully committed to since his inauguration two years ago, as evident in his first and second year scorecards published on June 11, 2020 and June 11, 2021 respectively.

He wished H.E., President Mohammed Buhari; The Senate President, H.E., Dr Ahmed Lawan; H.E., Governor Samuel Ortom; H.E., Senator David Mark, the good people of Benue South and all Nigerians a HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY CELEBRATION.
