Herdsmen attack in Benue: We have recovered eight bodies – Kwande LG chairman

The Chairperson of Kwande Local Government Chairman, Hon. Mrs. Tartor Chianson, has confirmed the death of several farmers in a fresh attack on Waya, Jato-Aka, Turan community in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue state.

It was gathered that the heavily armed herders attacked the community Thursday night.

Chianson confirmed the recovery of eight bodies, which have been deposited at the mortuary.

She said it was difficult to determine the exact casualties yet as the area was under siege.

She, however, informed that men of Operation Whilestroke and Civil Defence were assisting in securing the community.
