ADC begins sale of nomination forms
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has opened the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms ahead of its ward, local government, and state congresses, as well as its national convention.
This was disclosed in a public notice released at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja and signed by its National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo.
The party called on interested members aspiring to occupy elective positions within its structure to obtain the required forms in preparation for the upcoming exercises.
According to the notice, the Expression of Interest Form costs N2,000, while nomination fees differ based on the position sought.
At the ward level, aspirants for chairman will pay N10,000, secretary positions cost N5,000, while other offices attract N3,000 each.
For local government contests, chairmanship forms are fixed at N40,000, secretaries are to pay N30,000, and other positions are pegged at N10,000 each.
At the state level, those vying for chairman are to pay N500,000, secretary forms cost N300,000, while other offices are priced at N50,000 each.
The party also set the nomination fee for national convention delegates at N10,000 per aspirant, with each local government area allowed one delegate.
ADC further stated that all aspirants must have nominators, who are required to pay a non-refundable fee of N500 each.
The number of nominators required varies depending on the position, ranging from five at some ward levels to as many as 50 for the state chairmanship, with certain positions requiring geographical spread.
“All payments, including Expression of Interest, Nomination, Nominators’ fees, and outstanding membership dues, must be made via bank transfer to the party’s designated account,” the notice stated, adding that proof of payment must be presented during form collection.
The forms will be available at the party’s national secretariat and state offices through designated representatives.
The party fixed March 27, 2026, as the deadline for both the purchase and submission of forms, stressing that late entries will not be considered.
Screening of aspirants is slated for March 30 to March 31, 2026.
