Arsenal secured a 2-1 victory over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu, completing a 5-1 aggregate triumph to book their place in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals for the first time in 16 years.

Mikel Arteta’s side will now face Paris Saint-Germain in the next round of the competition.

Bukayo Saka opened the scoring in the second half, recovering from an earlier missed penalty, before Vinícius Júnior equalised for the hosts.

Gabriel Martinelli then netted a late winner, sealing the result and bringing an end to Real Madrid’s reign as defending champions.
