Ballon d’Or: Osimhen clinches 8th spot in Ballon d’Or rankings
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen secured a place in the top 10 of this year’s Ballon d’Or rankings.
During the award ceremony held in Paris on Monday, the 24-year-old was officially recognized as the eighth-best player in the world.
Osimhen’s impressive achievement follows his instrumental role in leading Serie A club Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years.
The Super Eagles frontman delivered a remarkable performance by scoring 26 goals in 32 league appearances, contributing significantly to their championship victory.
Osimhen outperformed Real Madrid’s seasoned player, Luka Modric (ranked 10th), and Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva (ranked 9th) in the rankings.
Lionel Messi was crowned the overall winner of the Ballon d’Or.
