1. n continuation of his Benue State governorship bid ahead of next year’s general election, a leading guber aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Terver Akase Thursday inaugurated his Campaign Team with a charge on members to work in unity to win the confidence and support of the people.Akase while performing the inauguration ceremony at the corporate headquarters of his Campaign Organization in Makurdi, called on members to count on God and be peaceful and persuasive as they canvass support from Benue people.2. Fulani terrorists on Wednesday, March 9th, 2022 continued their gruesome massacre of Tiv farmers in the Guma local government area of the state.The latest attack which claimed several lives took place at Ye village, along Daudu-Gbajimba road in Guma Local Government Area.3. Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State on Tuesday hinted that the forthcoming local government election in the state would produce 69 women councillors and nine female chairmen in all 23 councils on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).Our correspondent reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state had pulled out of the local government election scheduled to hold on May 7 on grounds that the results of the exercise were already determined by the state government.

4. For the second time in one month, suspected Fulani herdsmen have killed five kinsmen of Governor Samuel Ortom.

Itathered that the attack took place in the early hours of Tuesday at Ahentse community in Ndzorov Council Ward of Guma Local Government Area, LG.

5. Governor Samuel Ortom has expressed sadness over the attack on his community, which left five of his kinsmen dead and several others injured.

IDOMA VOICE reports that over five people were killed and many others wounded when suspected herdsmen from Awe LGA of Nasarawa state through Damkor and Iordye invaded Ahentse community in Ndzorov Council Ward of Guma Local Government Area, LGA of Benue State.

6. Two criminals identified as Odeh and Okpekwu narrowly escaped death on Thursday March 10th, 2022 after been caught red handed carrying out a breaking and entering operation.

An eyewitness disclosed to our correspondent that after the criminals admitted committing the crime, members of the popular Otukpo vigilante AKA Abakwu rescued the criminals from the mob who almost set them ablaze.
