The Super Eagles of Nigeria secured a spot in the semi-finals of the ongoing 2023 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup in Cote d’Ivoire after defeating Angola on Friday. Ademola Lookman’s lone goal in the 41st minute proved to be the decisive factor in Nigeria’s victory.

The match, held at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan with a capacity of 33,000, was intensely contested. Nigeria emerged triumphant, showcasing their resilience and skill on the road to AFCON glory.

The game featured a total of four yellow cards, with the Palancas Negras receiving three and Nigeria receiving one.

The Senegalese referee, Issa Sy, overruled a 75th-minute header from Napoli striker Victor Osihmen.
