BREAKING: Baba Aladura, C&S Spiritual Leader is dead

Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, the Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide is dead.

His death was confirmed by the church’s Secretariat, led by Secretary-General Special Apostle Ademola Odetundun.

The Spiritual Father passed away on Sunday morning around 10:00 am at his Ilorin residence in Kwara state, at the age of 103.

Apostle Odetundun recounted that the late Spiritual Father had his breakfast and was preparing for service when he expressed a desire to rest for a while.

He peacefully passed away thereafter. The Secretariat notedthat plans for his burial will be announced at a later time.

Baba Aladura, Dr. Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, was born on June 26 as a Prince in Omu Aran, Irepodun Local Government of Kwara State. His father, Odetundun Abegunde, held the title of Oba Olomu of Omu Aran in the Ilorin Province. His mother, Tinuade Tinuola, was the daughter of Niniola, a princess of Oponda in the present Isin Local Government of Kwara State.

His educational journey began at N. A. Primary School, Omu Aran in May 1934. His father’s passing on February 14, 1938, coinciding with Valentine’s Day, held personal significance for him. Around 1938, Senior Apostle Prophet Peter Oyinloye from Rore near Omu Aran introduced him to the Cherubim and Seraphim Church. After memorizing catechism and undergoing baptism like other converts, he received the grace of encountering the Lord Jesus Christ in his dreams and trance in 1958.
