Chelsea finally reach verbal agreement to sign 23-year-old defender, Jules Kounde

Following reports that the likes of Marcos Alonso, Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are in line to leave Chelsea football club next summer, the Blues will have to make transfer moves.

The West London club have enjoyed an interesting 2020/2021 season so far and are currently occupying the 3rd position on the Premier League table.

But with some defenders leaving next summer, Chelsea football club will most certainly be on the lookout for transfer signings who can further strengthen their current squad.

And if reports are anything to go by, then Chelsea football club are considering a summer transfer move for young Sevilla central defender Jules Kounde when the window opens.

The 23-year-old France International has been a mainstay in defence for Sevilla football club since he joined from Ligue 1 side Bordeaux back in 2019.

The young centre-back was heavily involved for Sevilla during the 2020/2021 season where he scored four goals and created one assist in 49 appearances in all competitions.

Jules Kounde has also continued in his impressive form for Sevilla so far this ongoing 2021/2022 season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the 43 matches he has played.

His impressive performances in defence is believed to have caught the attention of Chelsea and according to reports from The Sun, the Blues are ready to make a move for him.

The reports further claimed that Chelsea football club are really keen and have finally reached a verbal agreement with Jules Kounde ahead of the summer transfer window.

It is believed that Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is prioritising an improvement in his defence and wants to secure the signing of Jules Kounde next summer.

But then, it remains to be seen if Sevilla football club will be interested in listening to transfer offers for the young Jules Kounde ahead of the summer transfer window.
