Chinmark heist: Amanda Chisom granted bail
Promoter of defunct Chinmark ponzi scheme, Amanda Chisom has been granted bail.
IDOMA VOICE reports that Miss Chisom was arrested and detained at the Force Headquarters Abuja for her role in the defunct scheme which swallowed billions of naira belonging to investors.
According to lawyer, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, she was released on bail yesterday when her spiritual mentor came with lawyers and influential people to plead for her case.
She pleaded on the ground that her daughter, the Ponzi queen is sick and detaining her for the 14 days that the victims of her scam wanted to detain her with a valid court order would aggravate her sickness.
After her pleading, the Ponzi queen was released on compassionate ground to her spiritual mentor.
Her spiritual mentor also made an offer to refund some of the victims of her Ponzi scam who actually were responsible for her arrest and not one fake Barrister Childera who wanted to claim glory that did not belong to her/him.
