EkitiDecides2018: Gov. Fayose slumps after being teargassed by armed security operatives (photos)
Ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Ekiti State. Gov. Ayodele Fayose has been reportedly teargassed by heavily armed security operatives allegedly brought and sponsored by the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The governor earlier tweeted a picture of the Armed police officers blocking the entrance of the Government House in Ado Ekiti with the caption. “#EkitiDecide2018
This is the entrance to Ekiti Govt House now blocked by gun wielding mobile policemen. The plan is to prevent our victory walk slated for today but we will remain undeterred.
Power of God and the people will prevail over Federal Power.” he said
Fayose went further to say that “Heavy shooting now going on in front of Ekiti Govt house by armed policemen brought by the APC”.
Minutes later he was hit by teargass fired into the government house.
