End of an era: Alexander-Arnold leaves Liverpool for Real Madrid

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has officially sealed a high-profile move to Real Madrid, ending a remarkable chapter at Anfield that spanned over a decade.
The news was confirmed by renowned sports journalist Fabrizio Romano via his official X account, where he posted: “Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid, here we go!” Romano revealed that final documents are being prepared for the 26-year-old to sign a five-year contract with the Spanish giants, with a verbal agreement already in place.
In an emotional farewell message shared on social media, Alexander-Arnold described the move as “easily the hardest decision I’ve ever made in my life.”
The England international, a product of Liverpool’s youth academy, made 352 senior appearances for the club.
Over the course of his illustrious spell, he helped Liverpool secure two Premier League titles, including this season’s, alongside the 2019 UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.
He also lifted the FA Cup, two Carabao Cups, and the Community Shield, cementing his status as one of the club’s modern-day greats.
