‘Failure’: Bwala mocks Wike, El-Rufai over ministerial list

Daniel Bwala, a former lawmaker and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), expressed strong disapproval of some of the ministerial nominees in a tweet from his verified Twitter handle on Friday.

Bwala’s tweet seemed to target individuals who served as ministers, then became governors for a period of eight years, only to return to serve as ministers again. He described this conduct as a failure and found it repugnant to natural justice.

Though he did not mention names, Bwala’s statement appeared to be directed at former governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, who are among the ministerial nominees in question.

In his tweet, Bwala wrote, “A person who was a minister, then became a governor and served for 8 years, AND CHOSE to go back to be a minister (in other words to repeat a class) he/she is a failure, and his conduct in the 21st century is REPUGNANT TO NATURAL JUSTICE, EQUITY, AND GOOD CONSCIENCE. It’s like becoming a commissioner, then a governor, and back to be a commissioner again.”
