A video capturing former Edo State governor and current Senator Adams Oshiomhole on a private jet, seemingly touching the leg of an unidentified woman, has stirred public outrage and reignited debates over the lifestyles of Nigerian politicians.

Human rights advocate Deji Adeyanju took to social media to condemn Oshiomhole, whose extravagant lifestyle was highlighted in the viral clip circulating on X. Oshiomhole, who now serves as the Senator representing Edo North, was previously the national leader of the Labour Party.

The video quickly drew the attention of social media users, sparking discussions about the conduct and privileges of public office holders, and raising questions about wealth accumulation in politics.

Adeyanju, reacting to the footage, challenged the source of Oshiomhole’s wealth, contrasting it with the senator’s modest beginnings.

“Comrade wey dey ball! Politics money is sweet. A former textile worker living like Pablo Escobar.

No evidence he inherited money from rich parents or that he is a successful businessman or actively doing anything progressively as at today aside politics.

Behaving like Wike whose only source of wealth is before harmattan there was cold,” Adeyanju wrote on X.

The short clip, which gained traction on Monday, shows Oshiomhole appearing relaxed and cheerful inside the private jet, reigniting conversations about political excesses, elite privilege, and widening social inequality.
