Gov Alia to open up feeder roads in Benue State

Benue State’s Executive Governor, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the network of feeder roads in the state. This strategic initiative aims to boost agribusiness and elevate the quality of life for rural residents.

Governor Alia made the announcement during his address at the funeral of Late Hannah Mbakese Azenda, held in Uka, Mbawuar, Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State. He expressed deep concern over the detrimental effects of dilapidated rural roads on the agricultural sector in Benue State. In response to this pressing issue, he pledged to prioritize the improvement of rural road infrastructure, recognizing its potential to positively transform the lives of rural communities.

Governor Hyacinth Alia has already initiated the construction of sixteen roads in Makurdi metropolis, further underscoring his commitment to infrastructure development. He further promised to extend these efforts by opening up numerous feeder roads across the state, including the crucial Ihugh – Kiishi – Uka – Bunde road in Vandeikya Local Government area.

While advocating for peace and harmony in all Benue communities, Governor Alia urged all citizens to reflect on ways they can actively contribute to the state’s growth and development.

The governor paid tribute to the late Hannah Mbakese Azenda, highlighting her unwavering faith and dedication to God as just some of the qualities that set her apart as an exceptional mother.

Governor Alia concluded his address by encouraging the bereaved family to remain resilient and focused, steering clear of anything that could hinder their progress. He offered heartfelt prayers for the peaceful repose of Late Hannah Mbakese Azenda’s soul, trusting that she would find a fitting place in heaven.
