Idoma entertainers, stakeholders hold maiden conference in Otukpo September 16

Entertainers and stakeholders from the Idoma ethnic group, will on Friday, September 16, converge on Otukpo, Benue State for their maiden National Conference.

The event, with the theme: “Revamping and rejuvenating for quality and effective productivity”, will take place at the Eyum Memorial Auditorium in the city of Otukpo.

According to the chairman, central planning committee, Johnson Mannex Agada (Achoklobia 1), the event is open to all creative minds from music, movie, comedy and other entertainment sectors who are natives of Idoma.

The ace movie maker who is also the founder of Ogbadibo Carnival, the event was organised to chart the way forward for the Idoma entertainment industry.

He noted that the Idoma community has churned out top entertainers such as the legendary Bongos Ikwue, 2face Idibia, Tina Ofikwu, Blackface, Terry G, Susan Peters and a host of others.

Agada said the conference would afford all Idoma entertainers and stakeholders the opportunity to sit on a roundtable to revamp and re-energize for better and quality productivity.

He added that the one-day conference will equally discuss how to hunt, harvest and promote rising entertainers from the Idoma community.

Agada stressed that all Idoma citizens who are in the creative industry both home and in the diaspora are expected to grace the event.
