Idoma gets new SAN as Agada John Elachi, 57 others make final list

Agada John Elachi, an accomplished legal professional and former Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Abuja branch, has been elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) for the year 2023.

Anative of Orokam in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State, Agada Elachi’s achievement adds to the list of distinguished Idoma sons to attain this esteemed legal recognition.

Agada Elachi, who was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1999, holds an impressive academic background, including a doctorate degree in Public Policy and Administration specializing in Terrorism, Mediation, and Peace from Walden University, U.S.A.

He also possesses a Masters degree in Law and is a certified capital market operator by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), actively involved in investment advising and commercial law practice. His extensive legal experience encompasses representing cases across various court levels in Nigeria.

In addition to his legal expertise, Agada is recognized as an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) expert, displaying a particular inclination towards mediation and arbitration.

He holds prestigious fellowships from notable professional bodies like the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC, Nigeria) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), showcasing his commitment to advancing alternative dispute resolution practices.

Agada Elachi’s educational journey comprises a Degree in Law from the University of Jos, a Masters Degree in Peace and Conflicts Studies from the University of Ibadan, and ongoing pursuit of post-graduate and doctoral studies specializing in Terrorism, Mediation, and Peace. His extensive memberships in international legal and ADR associations reflect his dedication to contributing to the legal and conflict resolution domains.
