Kume Helen: Benue-born corps member gives birth in NYSC camp in Delta

In what would be described as a joyous mood with echos of sound of joy, the camp Community today welcomed the news of a new born baby girl after the opening ceremony of the 2021 Batch ‘A’ Stream 2 Orientation Course in Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The State Coordinator Mrs Olutayo Samuel (JP) announced the good news of safe delivery of neonate by corps member Kume Helen DT/21A/2119. She made the camp Community know that the mother and child are in good health, as she introduced them to the NYSC family earlier today.

Corps Member Kume Hellen DT/21A/2119, a graduate of Psychology from Benue State University came into camp heavy with pregnancy with the hope to finish registration but went into labour on Wednesday and delivery of a new born baby later that night at the General Hospital in Issele-Uku. She has been under the care of NYSC until the arrival of the husband to take them home.

The camp was agog with celebration of the new born baby to the admiration of all.

Justice Mabel O. Omovie flanked by the Acting Director NYSC South-South Area Office, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Sanusi, State Coordinator Mrs Olutayo Samuel (JP), Camp Director, Mr. Ainakhu Johnson and Camp Commandant Captain Aminu Malami in the mood of celebration for the gift of a new born baby girl, prayed for the neonate and her family. The were so passionate and gave gift to the new born baby.

The neonate and mother were certified okay and has since returned to Benue State.
