Lobi Stars suspend Technical Adviser Bala Mohammed over poor performances
The Interim Management Committee of Lobi Stars Football Club, Makurdi, has placed the club’s Technical Adviser, Coach Bala Mohammed, on suspension over unsatisfactory results.
This decision was announced in a statement released on Monday by the club’s Director of Media and Communications, Emmanuel Uja, following an emergency meeting held by the Committee in Makurdi.
Uja stated that the affected coach has been instructed to immediately transfer his duties to the club’s Chief Coach, John Onuh.
The statement read, “The Interim Management Committee of Lobi Stars Football Club rose from an emergency management meeting today and ordered the indefinite suspension of the Technical Adviser, Coach Abubakar Bala Mohammed.
“The management cited poor performance as the reason for the suspension, having played six games, earned only seven points out of a possible 18, and placed sixth out of eight clubs.
“The suspended Technical Adviser has been directed to hand over to the Chief Coach of the club, John Onuh (Abacha), with immediate effect.”
Coach Bala Mohammed was named Technical Adviser in August ahead of the current Nigeria Nationwide League season.
Upon assuming the role, he had assured supporters that he would guide the Makurdi-based side back to the top division after their relegation from the Premier League following several campaigns.
