The Federal Government has congratulated Ghana on its 68th Independence Anniversary, reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

In a statement on Thursday, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Kimiebi Ebienfa said Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar extended Nigeria’s best wishes to Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Samuel Ablakwa.

Nigeria acknowledged Ghana’s progress in democracy, economic growth, and regional stability, describing its post-independence journey as an inspiration for Africa. The FG also emphasized the strong historical and cultural ties between both nations.

Reiterating its commitment to collaboration, Nigeria pledged to enhance cooperation with Ghana in trade, education, security, and regional integration. Both countries will continue working together through ECOWAS and the African Union’s Agenda 2063 to address regional challenges.

The statement concluded with a wish for continued peace, prosperity, and success for Ghana and its people.
