Nigeria’s Flamingos beat Germany 3-2 to win U-17 Women’s World Cup bronze

Nigeria’s Flamingos clinched the bronze medal at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup after beating Germany 3-2 on penalties in their third-place encounter in Mumbai on Sunday afternoon.

The Flamingos surrendered a 3-0 lead in the game with penalties needed to determine the winners.

It was Nigeria’s best finish in the history of the competition.

The Flamingos prevailed in the shootout winning 3-2.
This is the second African side to achieve this feat.
