Ochacho Jnr set to join PDP

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State has released it’s programme of activities for the homecoming of its National Chairman, Senator Dr Iyorchia Ayu.

 

In a statement signed by Chairman of the Publicity/Protocol Sub-Committee, Dr. Joseph Nyam, and made available to the press, the events will commence this Saturday, 11th December, 2021, with the reception of the National Chairman on his arrival from Abuja by party faithful at the Agan toll-gate by 12.00pm. Thereafter, Dr Ayu will be driven in a motorcade to the Benue People’s House, Makurdi where he will pay a courtesy visit to Gov Samuel Ortom.

 

This will be followed immediately by a State Caucus and Stakeholders meeting to be addressed by the National Chairman at the New Banquet Hall of the Benue People’s House, Makurdi by 2.00pm.

 

On Sunday, 12th December, 2021 all roads lead to the main bowl of the Aper Aku Stadium where an Interdenominational Church Service and Thanksgiving shall be held in honour of Sen Ayu by 10.00am with a reception to follow immediately at the same venue.

 

On Monday, 13th December 2021 at 10.00am, the National Chairman shall pay a royal visit on the Tor Tiv, V, His Royal Majesty, Orchivirigh Prof James Ayatse at his Palace in Gboko and at 12.00pm, the National Chairman shall be attending a grand decamping ceremony where a three time member representing Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. John Dyegh will be dumping the ship of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the PDP.

 

Venue for this event remains the NKST Primary School playground, Genyi-Yandev, Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State.

 

The statement further adds that, on Tuesday, 14th December, attention will shift to Zone C where Dr Ayu will equally pay a royal visit on the acting Och’ Idoma, His Majesty, Engr George Edeh in Otukpo after which he will attend the ceremony of a philanthropist and business mogul, Ochacho who will be officially joining the PDP also in Otukpo.
